Yahoo 360's Loose Tooth

Are you a Yahoo 360 Loose Tooth?

Better question: How is it possible that my page was clicked on Thirty-eight thousand + times in one month when supposedly 360 is dying? The highest ever by the way. I am NOT bragging here - As I know talking about page hits is kind of an online faux pas, but it makes me wonder.

I know many enjoy seeing my photos and such, and I love making and posting them for you. However, I have since turned my page private to my friends and removed a good lot of my pictures too.

Fear seems to have griped us online here in our TG 360 community, spreading and scattering us across the winds. I am guilty of this too.

360 has become so hard to use, with Blog posts, comments and features shutting down, it becomes frustrating to continue on trying. Yet, some have taken up the torch to lead us to new oasis’s like Lori_D’s effort to create a communal Blog called www.TRANScendGender.com built upon the WordPress backbone. An excellent site for posting Blogs with the feel of a community bulletin board to post responses and reply’s.

I have started to move some of my blogs over to Blogger and even pointed my www.ChloePrince.com domain toward it (for now). Others are going to the 360 Live Journal refugee camp located HERE.

The one thing that it still lacks, that I have yet to find in any of these sites is the ease of use to find and make friends, which is WHY I am REALLY online. The navigation of Blogger, WordPress, and LiveJournal are in my opinion “Stuffy”. WAY to much focus on the Bloggin and not enough on the ability to find people, carefully organize them, and then be able to chat with them.

Yahoo 360, while dysfunctional, at least got it right when they incorporated their online community with their chat, email and Yahoo groups. I am excited and hopeful that Yahoo WILL pull through. So I am hanging around here on this page and waiting for 360's "NuFer's" to grow in, but will continue to mirror my efforts on the other places.

I don’t measure the success or the pay back of my effort of this page by how many hits I get either, nor the comments left on my page, OR the amount of Testimony’s people have made for me. I measure its usefulness each time I make a friend like Kelly (aka: FlyGirl) who lives in the UK and I can reach out and call her for support… I measure it by people like Lori_D to reach out to her and her to me when we need one another because our situation at home are so similar. Countless others I have meant online and become such great friends. NOWHERE ELSE has this happen to the degree that it has here at 360.

That is why, I can’t give up… and like any other problem, I will stick with it and work through it, keeping a safety net below me to fall back on… I hope many of you will too. My space is just so “Bling Bling”. I use it, but again, organizing friends into categories and chatting with them one on one is a joke.

That’s why the 360 TG community is still alive – because we are hanging in here like a loose tooth!

Go 360!
