I started the day bright and early - I'm skipping lunch today, all so I can get off early and catch a plane to meet my friend LoriAnne in Tampa Florida later this evening. Both Lori and I share the same dream of owning a business and working for ourselves. An opprotunity has presented it's self in Sarasota, which she has asked me to acompany her to consult and examine. The opprotunity interests me very much because it is in line with what I was thinking of starting and building up to give others in need, a job.
My job at the phone company has become a situation that is more of "survival" or being on strict double secret probation - rather than one of mutual growth & development. It's personally damaging and toxic. I want to break out and make it on my own... I know I can do it, given the chance.
Good luck....!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd so sorry to hear your current job leaves you feeling as it does....
yeah, that "double secret probation" thingy can be a tough item to shoulder in a corporate environment...best of luck in FL!
ReplyDeleteUgh- sounds like a truly lousy, though not atypical situation you're facing at work .
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the opportunity with LoriAnne !
Yeah that is certainly stress that you do not need. Just keep an even head when examining this opportunity. Sometimes the need to get out of a bad situation can blur our vision. Otherwise I hope it's the opportunity of a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck Chloe. I know you will do well.
ReplyDeleteGo for it, I'll never work for someone else again.
ReplyDeleteLook at all those punch blocks! Those aren't true '66' blocks, right? Do you do the HiCap circuits too? I do all the internal T/Frame/POTS management as part of my duties too. Best wishes on future endeavors!
ReplyDelete@Angel - yep, I'm at a Xbox checking my loop. Turns put their is a ground on the line. I'm a top craft technician, so I work on all circuits but mainly focus on DSL, Uverse and POTS. Kudos on the 66 block ;)
ReplyDeleteGood Luck dear. I am sure you will be a success in any venture you partake in!
ReplyDeleteGo for it, Chloe!
ReplyDeleteYES YOU CAN.. YOU GO GIRL!! THAT GOES TO THE BOTH OF YOU..
ReplyDeleteYou appear to have the smarts and drive to make it happen, so why not? I hope this pans out for you, Chloe. Small minded people are infuriating.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you get it going, I would offer to work if you can train a newbie! :)
If ever I can help please don't hesitate to ask....
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your endeavor!
ReplyDeleteThx Jamie, I know I can always count on you :) *hugs*
ReplyDeleteNow there's the smile we all know and love. Have a safe trip sweetie and give LoriAnne a big tight squeeze for me. (she's been instructed to do the same in return)
ReplyDeleteWay cool to be up there and still down here with the rest of us.......thanks for sharing....
ReplyDeleteYou'd dig an iPad, Chloe! Then of course, there's the new iPhone coming…kind of an Apple-head.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Be sure to go see Ybor City, but only in the daylight.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best for your own business! And I'm sure you're strong enough to manage your own business, don't give up believing in this aim!
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteooo oooo... maybe you can play with my DSL line here in Brooklyn and get me the speed I'm actually paying for? LOL I get 1.5 and I'm paying for 3.0
ReplyDeleteGreen Just being so cute, with a very beautiful smile.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it Chloe....I did it a woman own business, just have to take baby steps ... you can do it Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou know yesterday while out on the trails I saw a woman who could be your twin running with her daughter...
ReplyDeleteSo what does strict double secret probation mean? It sounds so grade school.
So what happens when you cross the blue wire with that one over there..?
ReplyDeleteI have to be honest I don't miss punch down blocks or wiring closets at all...
ReplyDelete@Annah, WHICH blue wire, there are so many blue to choose! :)
"Hey Mitchel, when the time comes, cut the green wire."
I keep breaking my nails when doing cabling. BIX block suck big time. Nice to see other phone company folks here.
ReplyDeleteYou should come and fix my DSL dry loop. Good luck on the start-up business.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of 110 blocks
